What is work experience? Work experience is anything that you have done that could give you job related experience and skills. The experience should be something that was or is on an ongoing basis however. For example; volunteering every Wednesday at the YMCA is ok, but helping out once at a bake sale is not going to fall under the work experience section of the resume. The exception to this is if you have NOTHING else to add.
What information do you need? 1. Employer's Name 2. Employer's Location 3. Job Title 4. Date's employed from and to 5. Description of Job Duties (using resume action words!). Make sure you think of EVERY little thing you did in the job. You can reduce it to the most important things when you write your resume.
